The Apes Thanksgiving!

We had such a great meal together!  Thanks to all of the parents who came out today to support your child and the Apes!  Thanks so much for bringing some wonderful food to help with our Thanksgiving meal!  We hope you have a great break and enjoy your time with your family!

How can a mixture be separated? Part 2

We had a second mixture of sand, salt and iron filings to separate.  We all had to think about the properties of each part in the mixture so we could separate them.

Here is what we tried...

Wow!  The iron is attracted to a magnet so we could pull it out of the mixture!

Now I get it, you created static to attract the salt!
