Top Students!

Congratulations to Axel and Raha.  They are being recognized as the top 5% of students in Duval County next week at the University of North Florida.  Sadly, Mr. Gibbons and Mrs. Goodman will be at Beauclerc for Wax Museum Night, and will not be able to attend the ceremonies.

Odds and Ends!

~Word Study & Map Test is this Monday the 13th!

~Any child picked up late from the Fifth Grade Dance on Friday, will be charged Extended Day fees of $1.00 a minute! Student attending the dance may stay in Room 71 & 73 until the dance begins.  There is no fee!

~State test on Arizona, Arkansas, Alabama, California, and Alaska is Wednesday!

~If you make a mistake...OWN UP TO IT, everyone will respect you more when you do.... and when you do something  wrong or insulting, APOLOGIZE..... otherwise you will end up ALONE!

~Zoo field trip is Thursday...bring a lunch!  Do not bring money, we are NOT going to the gift shop!  The same items can be bought at Dollar Tree for 1/10 the price..... leave cell phones, hand held games at home.

We are staying busy! And I can't keep up!

Here are a few pictures from our recent events.  Fifth grade is so busy at this time of year and I am having trouble keeping up with my posts.  Since the last post, we have worked on our Wax Museum projects, had a skate station night, watched a 2nd grade play, visited the Jacksonville Symphony, had a family Art Night, had a visit from Ms. Grasley, experienced "Crazy Hair Day",  and even fit in some reading and math!  This week we have had such a great time being spoiled by our students and our PTA!  Thank you so much for the flowers, sweet treats, cards and the great luncheon!  Beauclerc is such a great place and I get to come here everyday and be surrounded by great people!

I am late with my pictures but here are a bunch!  We have enjoyed so many fun days in the past 2 weeks and I guess I could not keep up!  We had to say goodbye to Ms. Grasley and we had a surprise birthday party for Ms. Gay!  Her son came to surprise her and Ms. Hollaway was even able to come, it was a huge surprise!  Our students who met the April reading goal had a luncheon to celebrate on Friday too!  Within two weeks we had two cakes, pizza and lots of fun!
