We have had so much fun exploring how light travels and different types of electricity!  Here are a few pictures from our time.

Exploring sound energy!

Science Fair!

It is that fun time of year again...Science Fair!  Please send in $3 with your child to purchase a backboard for the fair.  The $3 goes directly to the cost of the board which is much cheaper than the regular store price.  The money is due by Friday January 11th.  We must order them all at one time to get this price so please send the money on time.  Once the order has been placed there is no way to add to the order.  The final project is due on January 21st, you child will have a timeline, which has been discussed in class, to help keep him/her on track.

Winter Break is Almost Over!!!

The Goodman's have had a busy but fun break!  We met the Grinch, had a wonderful Christmas and so much in between!  Here a few pictures of our fun!

End of Month Luncheon Events!

We had a blast at our December Luncheon.  Great job to all of our Apes who reached their reading goal!

Decimals In Between!

We played a game to help us put our decimals in the correct order.  Soon we will be adding and subtracting our decimals also!

Physical and Chemical Changes!

We spent some time creating a graphic organizer to help us understand the difference between physical and chemical changes.  We each made one and then created our chart, then we presented our information to the class.

Villa Villa reached his 50 point goal and enjoyed an ice cold soda with his lunch today!

Spelling Bee!

We held our class spelling bee today and narrowed it down to two contestants and one alternate in each room.  Congrats to all and thanks to everyone who participated!

Chemical Change or Physical Change?

We had a chance to perform several experiments in class today and then discuss and determine if there was a chemical change or a physical change.  We had so much fun learning today and being great scientists, we even put on our scientist costumes!

We made stinky stuff with milk and vinegar!

We observed a color change, temperature change and created a gas, all in one bag!
