We are busy, busy, busy!

We are getting through so much work this week.  We finished our geometry unit and starting our measurement unit in math.  In science we are reviewing the information from earlier this year.  We will work on vocabulary for science and math and keep on working!  Thanks for all of your support!

Physical Change or Chemical Change?

We had a lot going on this past week.  We even explored chemical and physical changes.  We had a great week and learned so much about matter!

Mixture or Compound?

 

We explored the difference between mixtures and compounds.  We had to separate a bag of items including sand, salt, rocks and paper clips.  They had so much fun thinking of ways to get each item into a separate pile.

Exploring density!

We had the opportunity to explore density and prove that different liquids really did have different levels of density! We proved it and recorded our results.

Hot Dog Feast Last Week!

Thank you for all of your support for our classroom, your children and me coming into 5th grade.  Friday was a great day and we enjoyed everyone of you visiting.  We look forward to our next luncheon in April (due to spring break).
