Energy Project

We are all excited about being able to teach our classmates about our favorite part of energy!  We have books and resources and now all we need is our imagination.  You may draw, write or bring in items from home to help you teach about energy.  There is energy all around us, so no need to buy anything.  I heard some great ideas on Thursday about sports items, toys, musical instruments and more.  All these things are great ways to demonstrate and share about potential energy, kinetic energy, sound energy and others.  I can't wait to see what we all learn.  We will continue planning on Monday and then start sharing with our friends on Tuesday!

Ryan Brooke Goodman is 5!

My daughter turned 5 today! I can't believe that she will be here at Beauclerc next school year! She is very excited to start kindergarten but not so happy about waking up early!  We will start practicing very soon!  I will post some birthday pictures as soon as I can!  We hung out with family for her birthday and plan on a birthday party with friends in a couple weeks!

Congratulations Bailey and Brooke!

Our Star Students this week, Bailey and Brooke both worked so hard all week!  They stay on task and get all of their work done while also helping others around them.  I really enjoy having them both in class!  Thanks for all of your hard work! Keep it up!

Energy Continued!

Today students were given a battery, two wires and a lightbulb in a bulb holder.  They had to think about the way the energy will flow from the battery and make the bulb come on.  They were given no hints other than the discussion we had first about conductors and kinetic energy. Each group worked hard to get the bulb to light and never gave up! I can't wait to see the other class try on Tuesday!
