Our happy times!

This year has been so busy so far!  I am so late with my posts for star student!  I still want to honor our star students so here are a few pictures from STAR student day and our luncheon!  Thank you to all who attended and brought us some yummy snacks!

We have some awesome students this year and some very hard workers!  Congrats to our stars of the week!

Team Work!

We have been discussing division and now we are making our own division problems!  We were able to share our problems and our strategies after discussing it as a team!

STAR Students!

Congrats to Dillyn, Nygel and Miguel!  They all earned the title of Star student by working hard and completing all class and home work! Keep it up guys!

More Star Students!

I am late with some Star Students but I still want to celebrate their success!  Last week we honored Branden, Parker, and Nikolas for their hard work!  This week we get to add David, Maelys, and Elma!  Great job everyone and keep making great choices!

Math Strategies for Parents!

Yay!  Parents I heard your concerns about the math strategies coming home and I have added a new tab to the blog. Click on the tab above titled "Math Strategy Information" to read all about conceptual math strategies.  You can even find a link to view some of the strategies your child already understands for some basic operations!  I hope this helps with all of your concerns!

Star Students!

We had our first star students of the week!  These 3 worked so hard all week and are very deserving!

Division Strategies!

We have already started to discuss division strategies and I am so excited!  In all of my classes I was able to see some great math discussions and some great strategies!  We are going to have a great math year!

What a great first day! We had a blast!

We are all so excited about how our year has started off!  We had a chance to discuss scientific tools, discuss rectangles and squares and got into our first class novel!
