Hopefully you have seen the post on Mr. Gibbons blog already! We have received a delivery from Santa including stockings. He is very busy this time of year and did not have time to fill them before delivery. We are asking Ape parents to donate some small goodies to fill our stockings. Please include enough for your child's homeroom (Goodman 22 and Gibbons 23)! We thank you in advance and look forward to seeing you on the 15th for our December luncheon!

Don't forget the dress rehearsal for the Nutcracker on Tuesday December 6th. All students must attend the rehearsal!
Performances for the Nutcracker will be on December 13th during the day for students and two in the evening for parents and families. The evening performances will be at 5:30 and at 7:00, please have performers in the cafeteria at 5:00. Look for a flyer to come home with more details!
Our December luncheon will be held on December 15th at 11:45. Your child must have 14 books read in order to attend. Parents please feel free to bring a dessert and we want to thank Artiyah's Mom for our drinks this month! We look forward to a great time!
Our PTA has worked so hard to put together the Holiday Shop for our students. Your child will have the opportunity to shop for holiday gifts for the family with the help of adult volunteers! The shop will be open from December 1st until December 8th. This is such a great experience for children to be able to shop on their own to find the perfect gift they can be proud to wrap and give during the holidays! This is not a fund raiser but a safe and fun shopping opportunity! Thanks to all of the volunteers and our wonderful PTA for putting this together!
Please look for your child's progress reports to come home on Friday December 2nd! It is hard to believe we are already halfway through the 2nd 9 weeks! Time flies when we are having fun!

Good Luck Katelyn! We will miss you!
Katelyn's last day was on Tuesday before our break! We will miss you but we wish you the best of luck in your new school!
What objects can be electronically charged by using wool?
We tried several materials only to find that tissue paper and salt are only attracted to the plastic spoon and the eraser after being rubbed with wool! That was a fun way to explore energy!

AWESOME APE PARENTS= AN AWESOME APE DAY!
We had decorations, cupcakes, candy bags and lots of fun learning! Thanks for the goodies for Monday and our goodies for our store, as well as our new AR point cards. Our apes are racing to the leader board for AR points. We are now up and running with AR thanks to our PTA! The apes have been challenged to earn as many points as possible and they will be earning prizes with every punch on their new AR ID cards.
