What a great day!

We had a very busy and fun day.  Between art, music and PE, we had our January luncheon! We also awarded Eugene and Kim as our Star Students this week!  They have both worked so hard to meet and exceed book goals and do well in class.  Congrats and keep it up!

We also honored some Apes for the pledges they received towards our Boosterthon fundraiser.  They were given their prizes for the amounts they each earned.

Finally, we found time to celebrate David's Birthday.  Thanks for the goodies, have a great birthday weekend!
Hope to see you all at the Jacksonville Giants game!  There will be a game tonight at 7:30 or one tomorrow at 12:00.  Both will be in the Veteran's Memorial Arena.  Ryan and I will be there tomorrow!

Laptop Math Review!

We all had a chance to review different parts of our fractions and decimals unit today on the laptops.  Some of us worked with adding and subtracting, while others were ordering and comparing!  We should all be ready to go next Wednesday for our unit test!

Nice day to work outside!

I think Josh was pretending to sing while reviewing his fractions...

Welcome Franci!

I love that she is checking her work before clicking on her answer!

Forces!

We have started exploring different forces in science this week.  Building ramps at different heights to test how the height will affect the motion of objects and testing different surfaces and friction..we are having fun.  And guess what, we are learning at the same time!

Go Kim and Kate!

I ran into a couple of "Apes" this weekend at our local YMCA.  It was awesome to see their moves on the court!  Can't wait until I get to see Raha too!  Oh and the next Smackdown...

I will post the pictures on Monday so you will see them in action!

Welcome Ms. Grasley!

Dear Parent and Guardians,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Rebeca Grasley and I am a senior at the University of North Florida. I am studying Elementary Education and will be graduating in April with a bachelor’s degree. Before I can get there, I am finishing my final semester in the classroom as an intern.
It is a pleasure to have been placed at Beauclerc Elementary School for my internship experience. I am looking forward to working under the mentorship of two very determined and successful teachers. I am certain I will be learning so much from Ms.Goodman and Mr.Gibbons as well as your children!
I will be spending the next week getting familiar with the classroom as well as the students. All of them have their own unique gifts and talents. I hope to bring my own into the classroom in order to put my knowledge into practice and it is my goal to help facilitate the success of the students from this experience as well.
While this letter is only a brief introduction, I hope that each of you will feel comfortable with my role in your child’s class. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me through Ms.Goodman. I hope to have the opportunity to meet all of you over the next few months.
                                                                                                       Cordially,
                                                                                                      Rebeca Grasley

STAR Students!

Congrats to Taylor and Geohvana for an excellent week!  They both worked so hard to earn our title of Star Student!
